- Submission data: manuscript files, metadata, author declarations, reviewer reports.
- Payment data: invoice records and payment transaction metadata (payments processed by third-party payment providers).

How we use data
- To operate submission and peer review systems.
- To communicate with authors, reviewers, and readers.
- To detect abuse, enforce policies, and comply with legal obligations.
- To provide anonymised analytics to improve the service.
Data sharing & processors
We share necessary data with reviewers, editorial staff, indexing services, and service providers (e.g., plagiarism-checking vendors, DOI agencies, payment processors). Third-party processors are bound by contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
Security and retention
We use TLS, role-based access control, and encrypted backups. Access to personal data is limited to authorised staff. We retain submission and editorial records for at least 10 years to support integrity and indexing obligations.
