These Terms govern use of the Sangathya online journal platform. They set out user responsibilities, submission rules, payment and refund terms, liability allocation, and dispute resolution.
1. Acceptance
By accessing or using Sangathya you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
2. Eligibility & Accounts
- Users must provide accurate, current information and keep account credentials secure.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts for misrepresentation, fraudulent activity, or policy violations.
3. Submissions and Author Responsibilities
- Manuscripts must be original, not under consideration elsewhere, and must comply with our Author Guidelines and Publication Ethics.
- Authors must obtain and retain written permissions for any third-party material and must declare funding, conflicts, and ethical approvals where applicable.
- Authors are responsible for the accuracy and legality of submitted content; the Journal is not liable for author misrepresentation.
4. Fees, Payments & Refunds
Any publication or processing fees are displayed on the website. All payments are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. Payment does not guarantee acceptance or publication.
5. Content Removal, Corrections & Retractions
The Journal may refuse, retract, or remove content that violates policies, legal requirements, or UGC guidelines. We will provide a public notice explaining the reason for removal or retraction and retain records of actions taken.
6. Intellectual Property & Licensing
Copyright and licensing are governed by our Copyright & License policy. Authors must complete the required copyright or license form upon acceptance.
7. Liability and Indemnity
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Journal disclaims all warranties. Services are provided "as is".
- Users indemnify and hold harmless the Journal from claims arising from their submissions, including copyright infringement or defamation.
- The Journal’s liability for damages is limited to direct losses and capped where permitted by law.
8. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the specified jurisdiction unless otherwise agreed in writing.
9. Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms; changes are effective when posted. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
